What equipment does my child need to play soccer? Soccer has limited equipment requirements. Shoes and shinguards, covered by the socks are mandatory at all practice and game activities. Soccer cleats or tennis shoes are acceptable.
Players should bring a water bottle and their own soccer ball to practice. FYI the proper ball size for the age groups are as follows:
U5, U6, and U8 -- Size 3 ball
U10 and U12 -- Size 4 ball

Jeff Smit (Field Coordinator) has a box for used shin guards, cleats, etc. so you can donate your used items and/or see if there is something you can use. You can contact him at jeffsmit@hopkinsayso.com .
